I have been thinking that our living room needs a serious makeover. I love the furniture, and I love the wall color, (green of course) but we need some color and fun to liven things up. Maybe some drapes, pillows? I have been searching pottery barn, crate and barrel, urban outfitters... but not finding what I am looking for, however, I might not be able to picture it and need more opinions. Any suggestions?

How about some bright colorful valances, just a simple plain white 4" wide valance... then you can go to the fabric store and pick up some material and "batting" for poof... Just stretch the fabric over the valance and batting, and glue gun it in place (the material and batting that is, Dustin will have to hang them) :^)
And I love the tall "paper" mood lamps that add some great soft light... not too pricey either...
